Depending on the season, this coffee comes from Peru or Honduras.
The origin is the only thing that varies – the flavour notes of caramel, nougat, and red apples are always present. The coffee is Fairtrade certified, organic, and KRAV-labelled, and is part of Johan & Nyström's standard range.
The price of certified Gayo has risen constantly in recent years, without any improvement in quality. Additionally, it has been difficult to maintain a long-term and stable relationship with the origin, so Johan & Nyström has been forced to change cooperatives almost every harvest, which is why this became a worthy substitute.
